Drawings by Heather Kasunick

I was at the first Florence Night Out the other week, and I met this woman who did these drawings that I really liked, so I decided to put some of them up here. Her name is Heather Kasunick, and here is what I know about her: she is a teacher and likes to do "one drawing a day" series, which these images are of.

Here is her blog: Wonder Cupboard

Paintings at Sean Greene's Studio

On friday, september 27, 2013, I went to the first "Florence Night Out" which is an open studio/promote your business thing, and I saw a bunch of interesting art, including the studio of Sean Greene, whose work I have show on here before. He's a really good painter, and I had a nice visit. Here's a few shots of the studio.

Kinetic Solar Panel Art on the Forbes Library Lawn.

The artist standing by his creation.

I walked up to the library yesterday, and I saw this guy tinkering with this on the lawn, so I went up and asked him what it was. He explained that it was kinetic art, designed to give you an immediate feeling about the energy gathered from the sun, since that is the only thing which powers the motor which turns the stuff inside. It is more immediate than static solar panels.

Another angle, and a close-up of the motor on the inside.

The sub-culture of slacking

I live in the United States
and I am eating chips.
The United States!!!
The United States of “fuck it”.
The sub-culture of slacking.

In the news today

In the news today:
People turned off their TV’s
and were seen walking down the street
feeling love in their hearts
and smiling.
And the love radiated outward to others
who then felt this love and turned their TV’s off.
But they didn’t see the news report
about the people walking down the street feeling love in their hearts.
But it didn’t matter
because they were experiencing
and not just hearing about it.
